December 6, 2003 —   The Edinburgh Diamond Devils were honoured to host Scottish-born baseball legend Bobby Thomson at Meadowmill on Saturday the 6th of December for a special field naming ceremony. The club’s home ground will now be known as ‘Bobby Thomson Field’ after the former Major League outfielder.
