The other day, I did a quick sketch. Each point where the lines meet is where the defensive players were stood. I took a little bit of video footage at yesterday’s Diablos Rojos-Broncos game, and drew lines over the top of every 12 frames of film to show the movement of the defensive players on one play, and then made an animated GIF of the lines. The play in question is an inning-ending ground ball between short and third, fielded by the short stop.
