The 1971 Orioles rotation Another rotation chart, this time looking at one of the better rotations in baseball history, a four-man rotation, the 1971 Baltimore Orioles. The O’s used seven starting pitchers that season, four of which (Dave McNally, Mike Cuellar, Jim Palmer, and Pat Dobson) started all but 16 games that year. I’m kind of enjoying doing these, so maybe I’ll do more, of other noteworthy rotations.
